Amouage Purpose

Purpose opens with a striking burst of frankincense and pepper, immediately setting a tone that feels both spiritual and intense. Bergamot adds a cool brightness, but the composition quickly moves into deeper territory—smoky, resinous, and textured. At its heart, vetiver, papyrus, and sandalwood create a dry, earthy structure, softened by a subtle rose that adds quiet elegance without disrupting the composition’s strength. As it settles, saffron and suede emerge, layered with modern woody molecules that give the fragrance a smooth yet slightly raw finish. The drydown feels grounded and meditative, lingering with warmth and depth. Focused and introspective, Purpose expresses strength through clarity—rooted, calm, and quietly powerful.
